Geneva (ICRC) – The President of the Swiss Confederation, Mr Moritz Leuenberger, accompanied by the Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador François Nordmann, and the President's personal adviser, Mr Mario Carrera, paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on 18 January. He was received by ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger and senior staff of the organization.

During a working lunch the discussion focused on the ICRC's main activities, in particular its field operations.
