Geneva/Jerusalem (ICRC) – Families of Palestinians detained in Israel, who have been prevented from leaving the Gaza Strip for the past two years, must be allowed to resume visits to their relatives, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said today.
Parents, spouses, siblings and children of about 900 detainees have been deprived of face-to-face contact since June 2007, when the Israeli authorities decided to suspend the ICRC-run family visit programme.
