The ICRC web site makes extensive use of PDF (Portable Document Format) files that are viewable with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Options for reading PDF files

Reading on-line: This method is appropriate for small files, under 300k for a modem connection. Just click on the PDF link. The file will be opened in the browser window.

Download for reading off-line: Better for large files or slow connections. Click on the PDF link with (Windows - right mouse button; Mac - Command-click). A dialog box asks you if and where you want to download the file to your hard drive and if you wish to rename it. You can continue visiting the site while the PDF downloads in the background and then open, read and print it at your leisure.
