Section National Implementation of international humanitarian law: bodies involved This section contains reports on meetings and activities, statements, agreements and guidelines produced by and for bodies involved in promoting greater respect for international humanitarian law. National implementation of international humanitarian law is the responsibility of States. In order to assist them in this task, the Advisory Service cooperates not only directly with national authorities but also with international organizations (including the United Nations and its specialized agencies), regional organizations and bodies concerned with the issue at country level, such as National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and national committees on international humanitarian law.
