Section National implementation of international humanitarian law: other issues Full compliance with international humanitarian law covers a number of other issues, including dissemination of the law among civilians and members of the military, the presence of legal advisers in the armed forces and the use of means of personal identification. The exchange of information, required by some treaties, is a general way in which compliance with humanitarian law can be promoted at the national level.
