Section National implementation of international humanitarian law: publications The ICRC's Advisory Service produces documents designed to assist governments in ratifying and implementing international humanitarian law instruments and, more generally, to increase awareness of the need for such implementation among national authorities, academics, bodies concerned with the issue at country level and civil society as a whole. Ratification kits, fact sheets, model implementation laws and technical guidelines provide concrete and concise tools to facilitate the ratification of treaties and domestic implementation of international humanitarian law. Specific issues are analysed in more substantial publications, such as reports on meetings of experts held by the Advisory Service. Our biennial report and the biannual updates published in the International Review of the Red Cross give an overview of implementation measures adopted by States worldwide. No documents found |
