In March 2004, the UEFA/ICRC ambassadors for the Protect Children in War campaign travelled to Sierra Leone to learn first-hand the effects of war on children. The 5 minute video spot highlights many of the special moments of the visit, including the football match between the Jembe and Gerihun refugee camps refereed by the ambassadors, visits to centres established to help children learn to cope with their experiences during the war, and the emotional reunion of two children with their father, ending five years of separation.
