Getting emergency aid has been the first step in helping Gazans whose lives have been affected by the conflict. They now face the challenge of moving forward from survival mode towards rebuilding their lives. But how? Most of them are unable to find work, economic activity on the Strip has virtually ceased, the political situation remains uncertain and the Israeli authorities maintain an almost total closure.
