Section The Council of Delegates Council of Delegates - 2007
The Council of Delegates grouping the National Societies, their International Federation and the ICRC took place from 23 to 24 November 2007, in Geneva. The Council of Delegates constitutes the assembly of the representatives of the ICRC, the International Federation and the National Societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. It meets every two years and is often asked to give an opinion on policy and subjects of common interest to all components of the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. It also prepares procedures for the International Conference and proposes candidates for a number of Conference posts (Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, Secretary General, Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of Commissions and their rapporteurs to the plenary sessions). In accordance with the Statutes and Rules of procedure of the Movement (Art 13 of the Status), the members of the Council of Delegates are :
