Summary
This case concerns a person suspected of having committed, in Rwanda, crimes defined in the 1993 Belgian law as grave breaches of international humanitarian law. The Court of Cassation dismissed the appeal ("pourvoi en cassation") against the decision of the Brussels Court of Appeal (Accusation Chamber) on 17 May 1995 . The appellant had challenged the decision on the following points: violation of the national rules on the jurisdiction of criminal courts and lack of grounds before the Brussels Court of Appeal.
