Geneva Conventions Act, 1960
Act No.6 of 1960, An Act to enable effect to be given to certain international Conventions done at Geneva on the twelfth day of August, 1949, to which India is a party, and for purposes connected therewith.

This act provides for the punishment of grave breaches of the 1949 Geneva Conventions. It regulates legal proceedings in respect of protected persons (prisoners of war and internees). The act also prohibits misuse of the Red Cross and other protected emblems under the Geneva Conventions.
