Philanthropy: Be part of our future
The ICRC owes its existence to the will of a single individual, Henry Dunant. In 1863, he committed himself to starting the first humanitarian organization, and persuaded others to join him. From his initiative grew the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. 150 years later, the ICRC is still the global leader when it comes to helping the victims of conflict.
The ICRC has been able to work and develop over the last century and a half thanks to the trust and support of countless benefactors. In today’s tormented world, we need such support more than ever if we are to stay close to people in need.
When you make a major contribution to our work (a donation of CHF 5,000 or more), our dedicated team will work closely with you to identify the ICRC activities you would most like to support. We can also give advice on tax deductions.
Do you want to have an impact on the lives of people affected by conflict? Or would you like to know more about our activities? See MORE INFORMATION on the right-hand side of this page.
Thank you for your support.
