Summary

Armed groups on the border between Southern Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo regularly carry out raids, stealing food and abducting children from local communities. The children are often threatened, beaten and forced to commit atrocities. Recently, the ICRC reunited a young woman with her father and older sister, two years after she had been abducted from her village near Yambio.
