Summary

In Casamance, Senegal there is a popular phrase—“Land mines are extraordinary weapons. They don’t eat and never sleep.” Land Mine Survivors documents the struggles of 11 victims of the low-level conflict in Casamance. It is the story of an entire generation. Amanda Brinegar interviewed each survivor in March 2011 and provided the video editing for the project. Felipe Jacome captured the accompanying photos.
