Israel: sixth national competition on international humanitarian law for students

Students from Israeli academic institutions will take part in an IHL competition in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The participating teams are selected from academic institutions in Israel in which public international law is taught. This year three institutions will have two teams each: the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya and Bar Ilan University.
The competition jury will be comprised of four expert scholars and practitioners: Dr Heather Harrison Dinniss, postdoctoral research fellow at the International Law Centre, Swedish National Defence College; Col. (Ret.) Pnina Sharvit Baruch, senior research fellow, Institute for National Security Studies and former head of the International Law Department of the MAG Corps of the Israel Defense Forces and Dr Marko Milanovic, lecturer at the University of Nottingham School of Law and secretary-general of the European Society of International Law.
The final will take place at the Carlton Hotel in Tel Aviv.
