United Kingdom: ICRC director-general on changing humanitarian landscape
The ICRC faces a world where the nature of war is changing and yet many conflicts are long-running. It is a world where the humanitarian response to violence is often viewed sceptically but the needs of victims are ever greater. How can an organization like the ICRC face such challenges and remain relevant? ICRC director-general Yves Daccord will tackle some of these issues in a lecture in London on Thursday 6 December at 18.30.
Mr Daccord will speak on The changing humanitarian landscape: opportunities and challenges, in the inaugural annual lecture hosted by London's Humanitarian Policy Group, part of the UK's Overseas Development Institute.
