The Arab course on international humanitarian law provides the only Arabic-language forum offering both in-depth study of IHL and examination of issues related to human rights and the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.

Topics at the 15th course in February will include means and methods of warfare, persons and places protected under IHL, mechanisms for ensuring compliance with IHL and its implementation at national level, plus IHL and Sharia.
The 10-day course is intended for government officials, military officials, and professors of law, and provides an opportunity for Arab States to establish pools of specialists in the fields of IHL implementation and dissemination.
