The Netherlands Red Cross and the International Review of the Red Cross (ICRC) invite you to the launch of the latest edition of the International Review of the Red Cross on “New Technologies and Warfare” (IRRC No 886) and a panel discussion on “armed drones and cyber warfare”.

In the latest edition of the International Review of the Red Cross, various experts from the scientific, legal, ethics, and military domains discuss contemporary technological developments and their consequences, as well as the issues they raise for humanitarian law and action. Mariya Nikolova, Editor of the Review of the ICRC, will present the Review.
Following the recent advice of the Dutch Advisory Committee on Issues of Public International Law (CAVV) on the use of armed drones, Prof. dr. Marcel Brus, Chairman of the CAVV, will be presenting the main conclusions of the advice. Subsequently there will be a panel debate on the topic: “armed drones and cyber warfare.” The Chairman of the CAVV, alongside an ICRC legal adviser and an expert of the Dutch Ministry of Defence will share their vision on cyber warfare and the use of armed drones.
