Our world. Your move. Events across the globe.

The Our world. Your move. campaign is a call to action. Our world faces unprecedented challenges, ranging from conflict and mass displacement to climate change, migration and a global financial crisis. We have a collective responsibility to make our world a better place. It’s up to each of us to 'make a move' and do something to help others. Young or old, we can all make a difference.

Througho ut 2009, the National Societies, the ICRC and the International Federation put on events all over the world, highlighting the challenges faced by people around the world and the actions that can change their lives.

More than 80 countries organized a rich variety of activities linked to the campaign, including photo exhibitions, cultural, sporting and media events, public debates, youth camps, blood donations, books, the printing of stamps and social gatherings.

The two exhibitions below were shown in more than 40 countries, including Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Fiji, France, Iran, Kenya, Kuwait, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland, Syria, the USA and Yemen.

A contemporary exhibition featuring 40 photos from Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Georgia, Haiti, Lebanon, Liberia and t he Philippines. The photographers are part of the renowned VII photo agency.

The exhibition was launched on 8 May (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) in cities across the globe from New York to Geneva in the presence of numerous dignitaries.
