International Volunteer Day: A call for safer access in Syria
Firas al Naqib is one of hundreds of SARC staff members and volunteers whose work and dedication makes a real difference for Syrians affected by armed conflict. They embody the principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in particular when they cross front lines to deliver essential aid. Sadly, their work is often dangerous: thirty-two SARC volunteers have been killed while on a humanitarian mission since the beginning of the Syrian conflict. This short video is a tribute to their courageous and outstanding work.
