Syrian refugees in Jordan: A journey full of fear

08-12-2013 Feature

The flood of Syrian refugees arriving in Jordan and Lebanon shows no signs of abating. In cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross and the Jordanian Red Crescent, the ICRC is working to meet the most urgent of their needs. This short film is the first in a series of five, in which we look at the difficulties Syrian refugees are encountering as their painful exile continues, and at what we are doing to help.

Abdel-Rahmane, a father of six from Homs, has been roaming for two years with his family inside Syria in search of a safe haven, but to no avail. So he recently decided to escape from his country using the desert route to flee fighting and destruction. He arrived in Bustana assembly point at the beginning of November. He describes his journey through the eastern part of Syria.
