Pakistan: Winning against disability

15-04-2013 Photo gallery

From the heartbreaking scene of patients flocking into the ICRC field hospital soon after the 2005 earthquake, to a cricket game full of energy and excitement in 2013, the Narul Stadium, Muzaffarabad has been historically significant to Kashmiris. Over the years, this playing field has become a symbol of endeavour and resilience in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Following the removal of the hospital tents, cricket re-emerged. Recently, and for the first time in the history of the stadium, disabled cricketers took to the field, in what was surely one of the most special occasions of their lives.
