The ICRC in East Asia

The main task of the regional delegation for East Asia is to promote international humanitarian law. The delegation also familiarizes governments, experts, National Societies and civil society with the ICRC’s humanitarian work and emergency response around the world. Joint physical rehabilitation projects involving the ICRC and the Red Cross Societies of China and North Korea provide good quality prostheses in those two countries.
