IRRC, No 889 – 150 years of humanitarian action

The International Review of the Red Cross is a quarterly published by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Cambridge University Press.

In 2013, the 150th anniversary of the ICRC provides an opportunity to reflect on 150 years of humanitarian action and current challenges. The Review will take part in this reflection with a special edition with contributions from key personalities sharing their perspective on the organisation. These contributions will be published online throughout the year, starting from the anniversary date of 17 February. A series of articles will also explore the history of humanitarian action as well as current legal and operational challenges.
