The ICRC in Liberia

Since the peace agreement in 2004, the ICRC has gradually adapted its activities to support the rebuilding process in Liberia. It has focused on developing the country's capacities in the sectors of health, food security, and water and sanitation. Since December 2010, the ICRC has, together with its Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners, actively assisted thousands of Ivorian refugees and the Liberian host population along the border with Côte d'Ivoire.
