Summary:
This order defines the distinctive emblem to be apposed on protected monuments and sites. Valid in both peace and wartime, it may be considered an unspecific implementation of The Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, which is quoted in the preamble to the order.
