Summary:
In addition to establishing the National Commission on Action Against Anti-personnel Mines, this decree set up two bodies: the Joint Technical Committee on Prevention and Victim Support and the Technical Committee for Marking, Mapping and Demining. The Commission consists of the Vice-President of the Republic and representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Health, the Interior and Justice, and of the National Planning Programme. One of its functions is to ensure that Colombia meets its obligations under the Convention.
