Living with cluster munitions in Lebanon
Cluster munitions continue to endanger civilians in Lebanon one year after the war's end.

A deminer searches for submunitions by painstakingly cutting the weeds. Among the weeds are tobacco plants which he is harvesting for a local farmer to prevent him from trying to do it himself. A large international effort is under way to rid Lebanon of cluster submunitions as soon as possible. Over a thousand deminers from dozens of different organizations are involved. The Lebanese Army and United Nations peacekeepers are also taking part.
