In March 2006, the ICRC distributed rice and vegetable seeds to more than one thousand vulnerable returnees and residents in Honeyuan, Lofa County. In the previous year, more than 1,400 metric tonnes of seeds were distributed to 75,000 people. They also received tools such as hoes and axes and, in addition, 24,000 kits of essential household items including kitchen sets, sleeping mats, tarpaulins, clothes and buckets.
