The ICRC supported health centre in Voinjama. Most health centres were destroyed or abandoned during the war. Today, the lack of health services in the country poses serious problems. In response, the ICRC has rebuilt and refurbished nine primary health care clinics and has delivered medical equipment and drugs and trained laboratory technicians, midwives and nurses in collaboration with Liberia's Ministry of Health.
