An ICRC water and sanitation team inspect a public fountain before repairing it – Cité-Soleil's dilapidated water network has been gradually upgraded by the ICRC and the shantytown's three boreholes and around 30 public fountains are now in working order. Residents had access to drinking water for a total of 250 days in 2005, a marked improvement over the previous year.
