Displaced people waiting in front of a Somali Red Crescent clinic in Dusamareb, Galgadud region – The ICRC supports Somali Red Crescent medical clinics across the country. These are intended primarily for the resident population but also provide care for displaced people. The organization also supports a number of hospitals – of which Medina and Keysaney in the capital Mogadishu – that provide care for the war-wounded. Since the beginning of 2007, these facilities have provided treatment for over 3,000 war-wounded patients.
