The first national IHL competition of the Netherlands will be held on the 28th and 29th of February 2008 at the Princess Juliana Barracks ("Prinses Juliana Kazerne") in The Hague.

This training event on IHL, organized by the Netherlands Red Cross in cooperation with the ICRC and the T.M.C. Asser Institute, aims to "take law out of the books", by simulations and role plays, allowing the jury of the IHL Competition to evaluate the teams' theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of IHL.
