Conditions in the bush where families are living are very poor. Women say that they are feeding their families on wild fruits and leaves from the manioc plant, a staple food. The absence of health care facilities is one of their major concerns. They also have almost no possessions. They say the items they have received from the Red Cross will make it a little easier to cope.
