An ICRC delegate promotes respect for humanitarian law to Nigerian soldiers about to join the AU mission in Darfur. The ICRC systematically briefs departing Nigerian peacekeepers on the humanitarian situation they will find in their place of deployment and reminds them that the rules of International Humanitarian Law also apply to peacekeepers.
