Nigeria - the work of the ICRC and the Nigerian Red Cross
The ICRC and the Nigerian Red Cross work together on a range of activities which include helping those affected by violence, immunizing children against disease and improving conditions in detention facilities.

The ICRC promotes the respect of human rights norms and humanitarian principles by the Nigerian police. It conducts regular sessions with police officers, and also organizes training of trainers courses for police instructors to build the Nigerian Police force's training capacity in this area.
