Your task
The ICRC Air Operations Manager is responsible for the management of ICRC chartered, leased or owned aircraft in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner. He/she will coordinate the activities of the aircraft, crew, ICRC staff, passengers and cargo in an ICRC mission so as to optimise resource utilisation. He/she shall make sure that flights are performed safely in often a dangerous environment with all necessary permissions.
Selection requirements
- minimum age: 25
- prepared to accept unaccompanied postings for the first two missions (minimum 12 months each)
- excellent command of English; French an asset
- minimum two years working experience as flight dispatcher or pilot in an airline
- recognized training in aviation management and flight dispatching. Valid licence in flight dispatch (JAA or FAA) or licence as airline pilot
- driving licence (for manual transmission vehicles)
- fully conversant with IT tools; working knowledge of Jeppesen FliteStar is an asset
