Sudan: ICRC brings aid to the most vulnerable in Darfur and Southern Sudan
In North Darfur, half a million head of livestock are to get vaccinations and people whose homes were destroyed have received household essentials. Elsewhere, the ICRC has financed the purchase of irrigation pumps and supported farmers displaced by clashes. Despite the abduction of ICRC worker Gauthier Lefèvre in West Darfur on 22 October, the ICRC remains determined to help those in Sudan who are most in need. Afghanistan: ICRC maintains neutral, independent, humanitarian assistance
Despite a recent attack on a United Nations guest house in Kabul, the ICRC is continuing its efforts to help Afghans affected by the armed conflict. Reto Stocker, the ICRC’s head of delegation in Afghanistan, explains how the ICRC continues to work in this challenging context.  29-10-2009
Israel and the occupied territories: helping people improve their lives
