With a series of public events organized worldwide by the National Societies, the ICRC and the International Federation, the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement is highlighting the challenges faced by people around the world and the actions that can change their lives.
More than 80 countries are organizing a rich variety of activities linked to the campaign, including photo exhibitions, cultural, sporting and media events, public debates, youth camps, blood donations, books, the printing of stamps and social gatherings.

Multinational events
The two exhibitions below have been running since May 2009 onwards in more than 40 countries, including Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Fiji, France, Iran, Kenya, Kuwait, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland, Syria, the USA and Yemen.
Our World – At War
A contemporary exhibition featuring 40 photos from Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Georgia, Haiti, Lebanon, Liberia and the Philippines. The photographers are part of the renowned VII photo agency.
The exhibition was launched on 8 May (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) in cities across the globe from New York to Geneva in the presence of numerous dignitaries.
