In 2007 alone, the organization has airlifted over a 100 tonnes of surgical and medical supplies to the Somali capital. In August and September 2007, a surgical team from the Qatar Red Crescent Society, working with the ICRC and the Somali Red Crescent, performed nearly 100 operations in the Keysaney and Medina hospitals, significantly increasing the capacity of both facilities.
