Mr Vagni will spend the next two days in Switzerland for meetings with ICRC colleagues. Arriving at the organization's headquarters on Thursday morning, he said he "appreciated the support and good wishes expressed by so many people around the world" during his ordeal.
Eugenio Vagni was taken hostage on 15 January on the island of Sulu, along with his ICRC colleagues Mary Jean Lacaba and Andreas Notter. Mary Jean and Andreas regained their freedom in April, while Eugenio was released on 12 July. |
