Explosion outside ICRC workshop in Peshawar
Islamabad/Geneva (ICRC) – An explosion occurred today outside a car workshop of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Peshawar around 4.20 a.m. local time.

There were no injuries or loss of life, nor was there any material damage.

The ICRC does not yet have any information concerning the cause of the explosion or any possible motive. The organization is maintaining contact with the Pakistani authorities while awaiting the outcome of an investigation into the incident.

The ICRC is continuing to carry out its humanitarian work in the country.
