12-01-2009 News release 09/09 Israel and the occupied territories: ICRC president to visit Gaza Geneva (ICRC) – The president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Jakob Kellenberger, is travelling to Israel and the occupied territories for a three-day visit to witness at first hand the humanitarian situation in Gaza. In particular, he will be visiting patients and medical teams in Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
