The Act regulates the provision of international assistance by Botswana in criminal matters. The Act applies to criminal matters as therein defined: customs and foreign exchange, forfeiture of property, matters relating to restraining dealings in property. In particular, Part II is related to Assistance in relation to Taking of Evidence and Production of Documents or other Articles; Part IV deals with Arrangements for Persons to give Evidence or Assist Investigations; and Part VI is related to Proceeds of Crime.
