Summary
The Resolution of the Council of Ministers provides for the establishment of the Commission for the Implementation of International Humanitarian Law and charges the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense and the other ministries concerned with the preparation of the Statutes of the Commission, which are to be submitted to the Council of Ministers within four months.

The Regulations deal with the Commission's administrative workings and internal procedure.

The Council of Ministers adopted the Statutes of the Commission for the Implementation of International Humanitarian Law and charged the authorities of the Republic of Belarus with the preparation of draft laws to implement and ensure respect for the provisions of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, their Additional Protocols of 1977, and the other international instruments in this field.

According to the Statutes, the Commission is a permanent consultative body attached to the Council of Ministers and established to coordinate the activities of State authorities in the field of national implementation of IHL.
