Guinea: protection, assistance, prevention and cooperation – it's all there!

The ICRC has been working in Guinea since 1970, carrying out protection, assistance, prevention and cooperation activities throughout the country from its delegation in Conakry and its sub-delegation in Nzérékoré, Guinée Forestière. The Conakry delegation coordinates some of its cooperation and prevention activities with the ICRC's Sierra Leone delegation.

  • Freetown, Sierra Leone. The ICRC teaches the essential rules of international humanitarian law to members of the Sierra Leonean armed forces prior to deployment with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
