ROK: International Humanitarian Law Summer Session concludes in Pohang

From 8 to 11 August 2017, Handong Global University and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) jointly organized an "International Humanitarian Law Summer Session" in Pohang, Republic of Korea. This Summer Session is intended to further the participants' understanding of international humanitarian law (IHL), as well as individual criminal responsibility for violations. The course was conducted in English and comprised of lectures, case studies and group discussions. This was the 3rd time that the ICRC organized such a summer course in partnership with Handong Global University. This year's course has attracted more than 40 students of law, international politics and international relations, as well as young legal professionals from China (mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Japan, Mongolia and Republic of Korea.
