Overview
The purpose of the Humanitarium is to facilitate dialogue, understanding and cooperation among the humanitarian, diplomatic, academic and military communities, both locally and globally, and so contribute to finding solutions to today’s humanitarian challenges. With state-of-the art architecture and equipment, and seating up to 200 people, the Humanitarium is an innovative and dynamic space, conveniently located in Geneva close to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The format of events organized in the Humanitarium favours discussion over formal presentations, and encourages groups to think creatively and collectively. Thanks to its interactive set-up and advanced communications technology, the Humanitarium is an ideal forum not only for highlighting the issues and concerns of the day, but also for fostering the development of new ideas and approaches for addressing them.
