Middle East Water Crisis
Water supplies in the Middle East – and the people who depend on them – are at breaking point.
After years of conflict, water systems in countries across the Middle East are badly damaged or in poor repair.
The effect on the people living there is devastating. Without access to safe water, vulnerable communities are at great risk of infectious diseases.
In order to avert a humanitarian tragedy, we urgently need to provide water to millions of people across the Middle East in countries such as Syria, Iraq and Jordan. This will allow them to stay healthy, avoid contaminated water sources and lead full productive lives.
