The ICRC fosters income generation and enhanced nutrition in communities affected by violence, and works towards providing essential services such as water. We also deliver first aid training and provide psychosocial support to these communities. Our local ICRC staff visit prisoners in order to ensure that they are treated with dignity and foster implementation of IHL and IHRL by the civilian and military authorities and national security forces. We also collaborate with the Paraguayan Red Cross and the International Federation to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of victims affected by violence or other emergencies.
This country is covered by the regional delegation in Brazil.
